We've stocked a few star sapphires over the years. By far, this is our biggest, unheated, Jyotish quality blue star sapphire ever offered. It was mined in the Nivitigala area, cut & polished in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. It has a good deep blue color, an excellent straight star, and perfect translucency. As in every star and phenomenal stone, the bottom is always lumpy and uneven, which is OK. This will mount great either in a one-of-a-kind, designer ring or pendant. Due to the  conical and long bottom, best is a pendant.
