Lovely unheated sapphire, mined in an unknown locality, cut & polished in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. Blue sapphires have many undertones mixed with the primary color; some are violetish and purplish, usually with a color change; the famed ones known as "cornflower," a bright blue with a splash of violet with no color change, and also some greenish undertones, making them leaning toward a teal color. It's lovely, with a classic square flower cut—a bargain.
