These settings are designed to fit most of our gemstones and are custom-crafted according to strict Vedic principles.  Gems are set on the appropriate day, and, of course, they come into contact with the skin. A Puja (Vedic ceremony for auspiciousness) for a particular planet or a group of planets is performed before setting the stone(s).
